ey guys, looking to upgrading some rotors / calipers for the b4 im sooooon to buy hehe .
anyways is anyone able to tell me what the 6x6 is in the descriptions? and also what calipers i should be looking for?
6x6 referes to the 6 slots and 6 "wiper" slots
This is on a GX, so I'm unsure on b4 rotors/caliper needs for the b4. 294mm rings a bell ??

They should be a direct replacement (ie keeping the current calipers). IIRC the 4pot dubrx's are a bolt on (fronts, and as in not needing new rotors). The rears will need an adapter to use the 2pots. After that, it all depends on how much $ you want to chuck at carahhh, cheers man. yea the are 294. got a quoteof just over $200 ea for the DBA 4000 series rotors which seems reasonable. not sure where i should look for some calipers to suit.. any ideas?
(someone please correct me if I'm wrong.. which is more than likely the case)

ok awesome ill keep the current rotors for a bit, then go from there.
thanks.
Hey mate, haven't met you yet? Anyway, did i hear:
RBA = Better price tha DBA??
And: (somebody should sticky this already) WRX 4-POTS are only marginally (three-fifths of ***-all) better braking than standard B4 calipers..
With regards to the B4, they are a COSMETIC upgrade really.
With regards to your car MAV, B4 calipers don't NEED an upgrade.. But better still MY04+ GT brakes = larger diameter. (315mm?)

Depending on your budget the next rank would be to fit STi 4pot Brembo's. These are 316mm(can you confirm Alex?).
STi Brembos are 326mm front and 316mm rear.
Calipers were $2000 secondhand.
Discs will be around $1000 (new)
Ancillaries over $1000 (new pads, SS lines, fluid, dogbones for the rear)

haii,. hehe been on ozlib for a few years just rarely post
if the calipers dont need changing that is good news i can just replace the rotors for a set of slotted dba's which i can get new from a retail shop from a very similar price to that ebay job.
cheers for the info guys
