I'm from Kensington, use to live in Kyeemagh :)

Awesome, should get a little gen 3 crew together. Oh and i just installed a K&N flat panel filter. Actually sounds better and gives a very nice response :D

ahhh peakhurst, i was there yesterday to get some upper engine cleaner from the 'subaroo' sepcialist :D
I myself live down in Sans Souci near taren pt bridge.
I sometimes go for runs with some mates, one has a porshe 944 and the other has a honda crx. All are cars are fairly evenly matched and kitted out with suspension mods so the 'spirited' togue style drives through that natio can be fun !!
Would be good to go for a drive with other liberty fans though since i dont really no any near me

I get an extra 300km out of a full tank with the KN filter compared to standard paper one..

300???

I use to get 380km out of a full tank, highway driving..

I put in my K&N filter, and I got almost 700km out of a full tank.

I know, I couldnt believe it too. I drove from Sydney to Taree and back in one full tank.

Haha yeah, I figured. The old one was all black and ****, a new paper filter probably would of been just as good.

Shazza was kind enough to donate his old one out of his old NA engine. You can find them second hand for $50 or so, or new for $70. 470km is still way better then what I use to get.

Being a p-plater, and also driving an automatic, doesn't help to my fuel economy.

awesome ill look at getting one of those, mines looking brownish.. I was close to getting one recently, a mate of a mates was selling a largely unused HKS filter but it fit gen4 :( lol

checked out this fuel economy list ive been recording on my ipod on the notes app thing.. out of the ones ive bothered/remembered to record; best was 485km, from CaltexU98, but majority of that was granny driving revving to barely over 3k rpm then shifting. fairly dismal... thats bout 10.1L/100Km basing that on 50L
...sociallydisabled, soz dunno ur name, what Literage do u gain; in your ? (gen1?)

He's in NZ at the moment so you might not get a reply for a while!

hahah dude i make up words all the time lol...
yea 64 litres according to the book. But when i fill up til it stops with ~50Litres that means ive just used 50 litres ...

buuuut every single time i fill up, even from doing 25-30kms once the fuel light comes on, it doesnt go above 50... highest ive ever got was like 49.64 Litres. Im confused. opinions please?

The gauge/light isn't accurate. Best to find out how many kms you will get to a full tank and then reset the trip meter every time you fill out.

Your fuel light comes on when theirs ~15L of fuel left. So you have plenty of time to get fuel ;)

Not all NA subarus are heavy on fuel :)

I easily get 9-9.5L/100km I wonder how good ecconomy I could get if I actually tried to drive like a granny

Yep, I always fill up with 30L, usually about $50, as work pays for me petrol these days. As soon as I fill up, I reset the trip meter. Never judge by the notch, always by how much I filled up at the bowser.

I work at Toys R Us Moore Park. We recently burned down so I am currently at the bankstown store for 6 months while they rebuild.
Due to forced relocation, they are paying me about $102/week for "travel expenses" and in actual fact its only costing me about $20/petrol to get to Bankstown and back a couple days a week. Pretty stoked. Pretty win.
