Getting it tuned at idyno?

Not sure the exact place tbh? Its the old Envy Imports Dyno. Were just renting a few hours on it and Chris from XSflow is going to do the actual tune

Pushing for the 200 mark? will be hard with the auto

Nah man I more than happy with a safe 170kw or so. Really well just let the car do the talking and let us know when it's happy. This is just my daily and Im only doing because I already have all the stuff to do it. if I hadnt needed to do some other stuff to her today then I probably wouldnt have bothered at all lol

finally made some progress on the Foz. we had some real dramas diagnosing an issue that was causing some missing on the passenger side cylinder bank which turned out to be a problem with the AVSC actuator being jammed open and drowning the cylinders. anyway that's fixed so happy days.

We did some tuning today. I'm still waiting for my 3 port boost solenoid to get here so Chris only tuned on factory boost (10.6psi) to see where we could get it to safely.

Mods added are: VF30, 3" Dump and high flow cat, catless up-pipe, fuel pump, TGV deletes & silicone under manifold intake. Those were added to current mods of 3" catback exhaust and CAI.

Last time the car was run it made 102.3kw with the TD04 so we knew there were plenty of gains to be had there.

After 3 hours on the Dyno we decided to call it a afternoon after pulling 157.3kw atw at 10.6psi. Hopefully my 3 port arrives next week so we can stick that in and have another go at 17 pounds :)

Also took the bird catcher scoop off and put a standard WRX one on instead. it's much more understated now which i like!

Looks heaps better with the stock scoop.

Good numbers.

I really want a Forester now.

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

I should just convert to single, right?

Same here. The boot space just screams at you. :( I'm looking for an off roader though. B4 is just my daily driver these days.

Nice work mate... Great figures.

Scoop looks so weird haha. Used to the bird catcher!

Isn't factory boost 12.9?

Haha yeah the scoop was weird at first but I'm used to it now :)

Apparently stock is 11.6 but mines doing 10.6 pretty consistently. Im a bit concerned there's something up with the oem boost controller and the cars now running on gate presure. I need to get this 3 port so we can be sure the boost control is stable

Awesome! Glad it's running good again

I forgot to grab the money off you for the speed sensor at hooters, all good if I get it off you next week at the meet? You can have the gen 2 coolant recovery bottle for free. :)

Stock on series 1 SG XT is 11.6

Check you are actually putting your foot all the way down and nothing is stopping the pedal from making it's full travel.

For the BCS to allow 11.6, The ECU needs 100% TPS signal from the accelerator.

A lower TPS percentage will only allow the boost to reach a lower level.

Did the catless up pipe give the S2 an extra 1.3 pound of boost or was I previously misinformed?

Nope. It's because the engine is stronger in S2's.

Smaller scoop is much better!

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

boost issue fixed!

Pierburg 3 Port Boost Solenoid sorted it all out for me (thanks Troy PSR). Wasn't quite bolt on, had to redrill new mounting points on bracket and change some vacuum lines but all in all a piece of piss. didn't get time to tune it but did a couple of wraps around the block on 21psi which was nice. did raise the wastegate duty cycle a little and she felt great.

IMG_5164_zps0aa5d6ca.jpg

IMG_5166_zpse4bf591a.jpg

I've also bought a Processwest Intercooler Splitter which made a HUGE difference in cooling efficiency.

Got it back on the dyno today at 14.5 psi and she made 180.3kw which is a massive difference to the 102kw we started out with. Driveability is fantastic now! It was much less humid today compared to the other week so that makes a fair difference as well (our base fun today made 170.4kw at 11.6psi with the only difference being PW splitter and a drier day).
