Ok so i have fault code 24 44 and 45 up. eng light isnt always on. its just when i extract the codes.
i have a wicked intermittent problem.
afm has issues (suspect plug is forked or else unit is on the fritz)

car has been a bit worst lately.
its a 92 rs liberty w/ original ecu but a 95 gc8 engine and gearbox.
it pulses the power, idles funny and every now and then gets a serious problem
seems to happen @ 6pm every day this last week -.-
throttle will do nothing. have to keep in gear to keep engine running to avoid losing brakes.
cannot take off. no power at all and keeps stalling.
after a few attempts will idle and rev in neutral but not under load and when i try to redline it in neutral hits about 4.5-5k rpm and just sputters and pops in the turbo and wont rev higher.

any thoughts?

What about when it's daylight savings time?

now on a serious note, I think it happens at 6, cause you leave work at 5.30 and you drive for 30 mins, giving the engine time to heat up everything, and once it all gets hot something is playing up, I'm thinking it's definitely one of your sensors, or something electrical either way.. i'd be checking the looms, AFM, exhaust sensor, knock sensor etc.

My liberty NA did that and it was a faulty AFM.

Fault code 24 is your idle air control valve, I'd be looking into that and your AFM first, then go from there. The IACV might just need a clean, I've heard they rarely fail...and a replacement AFM can be had for fairly cheap if you look around.

cheers for the thoughts guys :) that was also my thoughts on first place to look aha.
im auto electrician by trade but im lazy when it comes to my car.

that air control solenoid valve thats inline next to pressure senser (near brake booster) i had check out and it has 44ohms impedence so that seems ok and with ign on there is 12v power to it however i dont have a negative to it.

is it negative triggering? and when is it suppose to switch? anyone? ahha

I put my money on your MAP sensor (black one under you boost controller solenoid.

Your error codes are MAP sensor and Duty Control Solenoid (Boost Controller).

Do it.

yea i checked that however its giving a reading. (5v ref and 0-5v varying out depending on pressure)
but i know that the solenoid next to it (between the map and wastegate duty solenoid) has 12v in but no negative supply. i dont know what its for but the vacuum for the map sensor goes through it ? i'll post a pic of it later to clarify.

oh yea on that one. i drive around all day for work in it but no issue then lol. did it @ 5:30 when i left pub on wednesday. maybe todo with the dropping air temp at that time?
either way licence in gone for 3 months now so i have 3 months to fix it ahah :P

cut up the plastic square part on your AFM, re-solder the joints where the plug connects and win.

if that doesn't fix it bin it and few another one.

that is your problem.
