Bubbles in the heater core

Washed the car yesterday after doing to 4WD course. Everything was covered in mud - including the engine bay.
Gave it a good degreaser and carefully washed it down but now when I turn the car on, I can hear the bubbles in the heater core behind the dash.
Wondering if I can get some assistance for the best way to let them out?
Cheers

I get this too, and if I recall, Shiv had the same problem?
Gotta bleed the radiator.. I was told to leave the radiator cap off and run the engine for a bit. Not sure though, can't remember 100%.
Get out of my thread.

In conclusion to that thread - the cause of mine was two broken radiator hoses.
CHECK YOUR COOLANT LEVELS! Mine was only making that noise for a bit over a day and it did manage to loose a fair bit of coolant in that period.

Or ask them really nicely to leave.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Raise front of car.
Take radiator cap off.
Block the overflow bottle line.
Start car.
Warm car to normal operating temp, by applying revs (3k) and waiting for fans to kick in.
Top in coolant.
Repeat last two steps until the fans have kicked in a couple of times.
Top up.
Put cap on.
Unblock the overflow bottle line.
Take for a spirited drive.
Leave car to cool down to stone cold.
Check overflow bottle level.
Adjust overflow accordingly.
see if this helps.

Can I use water instead of coolant because I'm just topping up?
I will be booking my 190,000kms service this week so I'll definitely make sure they flush the coolant.
Shiv, thanks for that thread. Very helpful. I don't think there is any leaks though... I have a feeling something happened when I was hosing it all out. Well I haven't seen any spillage and it was working fine right before I hosed it out!
Will check the levels though just to be sure

Shiv may be onto something here.
Air has to enter the system somehow.

i do it exactly like alex said
but when toping it up i get an old coke bottle and cut the bottom off an place the cap end on the rad cap/ (header tank on turbos)
and tip coolant/water down that it forces it down with a bit of pressure
if that doesnt work
