Drunk Spoop... Are you suggesting that my current 2.25 straight through mid section is not large enough in diameter? Explain how changing this would remedy the puffy noise coming out of my muffler please?
I would have thought that anything larger than that would be overkill, especially given that I have no resonators.

Thanks! Noise levels? Drone?
The GT is a bit quieter than the LX was as the GT has a larger muffler. I preferred the burble from the LX setup to be honest, but no drone with either and both hardly any noticeable sound when cruising at 100km/h.

Had a custom setup made. 2.25 diff back with an offset oval, glass packed straight through muffler. Also has a very nice 4 inch tip on it... Will take photos if anyone requests them.
I went to Fred's Mufflers in Spotwood. Highly recommended if anyone is interested in getting work done. They took the time to listen, explained the pros and cons of what I was after and then offered future solutions if I wasn't 100% on the outcome.
Outcome: The sound difference is huge. It no longer sounds "fluffy or wheezy", sounds very deep and might be verging on too loud for me. I will probably head back there and get a resonator installed in the centre pipe just to dull it down a little. I'll see how I feel about the whole thing by the time the weekend rolls around.
Cost: $180 for the pipe work and muffler - $90 for a swisho tip.

Good to hear mate. Pictures are mandatory to by the way....
Also, its very probable you might be verging on being a pansy....
Pics are a bit dark due to it being, ummm, dark and all.. Will try to add some more tomorrow when it's not as dark.
Might be verging on being a pansy eh? Takes one to know one! hahaha...
Seriously, I reckon without any resonators, it's loud! Although, I thought it was loud when I put the MRT muffler on too, so I'm probably not used to it yet.

Yeah, best let those petals you call ears re-adjust.
You car needs more 22mm front and rear sway bar.
I'll let my petals go until the weekend.. Then re-evaluate.
Tell me about it! I noticed how pitiful they were when it was up on the hoist today. As soon as I have the BBS's painted, shod and on the car, I'll start work on the suspension.
