LOLZ!! have you actually had to witness such things? It was to emphasize the fact that with renal failure, perhiperal vascular disease, and diverticular bowel disease, secondary to alcoholism, an aboriginal's bowel movements (in a colostomy) is significantly worse.

Yo Nik, how do you like your steak cooked, you seem like a "foodie" and I saw on tv some foodies saying that steak cooked through is ruined.

I think a good steak needs to be medium rare to rare.

That's how I normally eat mine, but I cook mine through accidentally sometimes and I wouldn't call it ruined if it's a nice cut of meat

Let's explore.
If you are at a restaurant that is of any quality, you should ALWAYS order your steak 'how the chef would like it served' - different cuts respond differently to cooking times. A rare fillet can be completely bland, it might be 'flashy' to order a rare eye fillet, but most chefs would push to medium on a low flavour cut like that. A porterhouse usually a thinner cut would respond better to a quicker cooking time.
If you are cooking at home, always aim for medium rare on the end of cook. The steak should then rest for at least five minutes before serving.
Myself, mate, the ALL TIME best way too cook a steak. Hard salt pan, drop of oil, super hot, sear both sides - then straight to a preheated oven =150C - use the rule of thumb to check 'doneness'
