Really?!

What pads/tyres are you guys running??

I know the beefour has larger rotors, but I can stomp on the RX and not a hint of ABS action, just progressive braking.

My Commonwhore will wear out the ABS unit its so intrusive.

It's common on all B4's no matter what brake pads/tyres they're running.

Kicks in super easy over anything bumpy or the slightest hint of a loose surface. Even in some carparks with some loose gravel!

All B4 owners will tell you the same. The RX hasn't got the fault because it's a different ABS system.

The brakes are great apart from when it kicks in, then it's just scary.

Ah, now that I think about it I think mine does do it. Is it the sensation of pressing the peddle and not getting the hard brake you expected? It does seem to over compensate a tad... but I have never had it lock up - I park it on a gravel driveway.

I like the BBS rims, I saw a Black one a while back with gold BBS which was interesting. We had a 4x4 with similar rims and it was a pain to keep them clean.

That's called ABS my friend. The peddle feels all funny as it kicks in.

It is the reason you wont lock up.

But it does it when it shouldn't.

I've been so tempted to remove the ABS fuse, but for insurance purposes, I don't.

I'm pretty sure they're not even made by the same people. Or just set up way differently.

Would mine have the same mech as the RX? Because it locks up quite frequently.

Driving home late at night there is a hair pin bend and if it's a little damp, I get the ABS feel under the pedal. Never going fast enough for it to lock up too much

@ Walts. Apart from the normal reservoir on top of the brake master, does yours have a seperate fluid reservoir mounted on top of the ABS unit?

WTF that ad is retarded. And so are those headlights. Although I was up close to a GT the other day, they aren't THAT bad. I really hope they release a nicer shape soon.

Looks like the codes on the ABS unit differs from RX to OBK.

I've never had my abs kick in on the b4, probably because I'm a responsible driver.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Does your have 'hill decent' or similar?
Used to maintain driver control on steep decents.

Im not sure why OBK would be different.

Maybe its calibrated differently for potential use offroad? Mine is super-sensitive to small objects like shopping centre speed bumps. Its okay at speed though.

What's really weird kicking in is VDC. I was going up a gorge a week ago...hairpin turns etc. Put it in 1, full lock and planted it. The module makes such a big noise and really kicks in hard.

What colour did you paint her head Morgs?
