Hi

Most likely buying a MY08/09 Forester this weekend for my mum.

So NA & Auto.

Just curious.

What's the difference between the X model and the XS?

Cheers

self levelling suspension, 16" alloys, 6 stacker, more colour coding, tints aswell i think in the later ones. fair bit more, redbook should answer that question properly.

Colour coded handles
6 stacker
Reverse camera
Self leveling rear suspension
Fog lights
Fancy 17"wheels

They also did (at the time I bought my MY09) a Columbia pack which had some other cool bits too but not sure if they're doing it any more.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I know with the SG Foz's, X = base model with grey bumpers, steel wheels, etc. whereas the XS had body coloured bumpers and alloys

Looks like they changed it all a little with the SH.

Is the ad just incorrect?

Nah the ad is wrong Morgs...that's an X.

It even says in the standard equipment list at the bottom it should have chrome door handles...it's also missing the fog lights and the nicer rims.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Added two links to the bottom - both advertised as X's but have foggies and alloys

Bloody dealers with false ads

Thanks for your replies lads.

4rstr: Incorrect.... that's the premium pack that's only available on xs and xt.

Do not want leather/sunroof.

I too was getting confused seeing X and XS with various levels of trims and equipment.

Self levelling suspension sounds expensive to repair and replace. So the X looks more attractive in that regard.

I haven't seen any packs as of yet.

Morgs.... Work your magic! I'm chasing a MY08/09 Auto under $25k, and k's under 70k.

Don't think you'll have any issues with the self levelling susp.

It's only in use when pulling heavy loads.

I thought the XS was just the same as a XT minus the obvious turbo engine?
