I know mate.
Completely agree!

But, that's what she had, so that's what we'll replace. (atm anyway)

Only half decent alternative I could find was a 08 Lancer Wagon, and they're not exactly what you'd call "good looking".

Was she particularly attached to the car?? Maybe she would be happy to choose something else??

I don't think so. But it's probably easier if it's exactly the same.

My sister has a Barina sedan (one of the Daewoo ones), and loves it, even considering an update to the new model that is coming soon - it sucks, but females don't see cars the same way. To be honest it is better than the Cruze, much more driveable car with a decent power to weight ratio.

Also, Birthday like a boss. I didn't even remember until someone reminded me, too focused on work and stuff.

It's taken 12 months, and cost almost $2k.. This timber is as expensive as Jarrah.

Phats, I'm racking my brain as to who was doing the torque converters for us in Adelaide.

Argh.

What do you need done?

Trans on our Raider needs to be rebuilt ... $2.5k is cheapest quote so far :(

That's nice Nick, biggest thing I have ever made is a fish tank base/hood, next to that, a dart board case, and a small coffee table way back in grade 10, which I then put on wheels so its even more awesome. Its still rocking around here somewhere... dad has the dart board case in his Holden theme garage (I burnt Holden branding into it).

Last thing I really spent a decent time making is a double decker turtle tank enclosure, made from stolen house frame timber (we lived in a new estate at the time) :P its still holding together after 5 years so I did something right - basically I have 2 3ft tanks in the space of one 3ft tank, about 7ft tall, engineering win.

Haha yeah the handles are a hit and miss. It just depends on how you look at it, I was gonna opt for black ones but just ended up buying brass. I live in a wogy house anyway :P

Cheers, tsg. Stolen timber ftw.
