Just thinking about getting new rims for my 06 RS.
Whats the appropriate/recommended size for this car?
I was thinking on getting 18" but not sure about the wide. can I put 8 or 8.5? I was looking that most impreza rims are 7.5 but I was wondering if i can go a bit wider.
Thanks very much.
Thinking of getting these ones: http://cgi.ebay.com/...s#ht_2656wt_840
Would they fit without having to do any modifications?

otherwise you will scrub, 225/40/18 is the tyre size you should be pricing.

Truth.18x8 will be fine as long as the offset is >50

Although I think you'd really struggle with finding any rim that's eight inches wide, and over fifty on offset.
In fact, I'd almost put money on the fact that you won't find wheels like this.

Using a spacer would indicate that they're not fine (hence the strut rubbing!)
And that the offset is no longer +51mm with spacers

The OP has a MY06 Impreza (not a gen 2 legacy wagon). Those wheels fit GD impreza without spacers (no scrubbing!)
And the offset remains +51mm as they'd be run without spacers

I have decided to get 18 x 7.5, hence like someone said before its really hard to find 18x8 (good looking ones)...
I am looking at these rims: http://cgi.ebay.com/...2#ht_2656wt_840
With a set of 225/40/18 92W FALKEN ZE-912 TYRES.
In your opinion guys, do you think this combination will look good on my MY06 RS without any modification? I might take into account lowering the car... If my budget allows it.
Thanks!
