Has anyone done their own fix on a windscreen chip before? Only time I've ever had windscreen damage was after a tree branch fell on a previous car so the whole windscreen was replaced.
Any particular recommendations from experience?
Cheers

check to see if your insurer offers a free windscreen replace first
i had a chip fixed on a previous car and it didnt turn out the best, ended up getting the insurer to get me a new one

i've had a few windscreen chips filled by some bloke that does mobile repairs around the northern beaches. if i remember correctly (which i probably don't) it was maybe $45 a chip. there must be someone up your way that can do it. you can get diy kits as well i believe??

Pretty sure I didn't tick the windscreen box on the insurance
I'd like to have a crack at it myself first. Always handy to learn a new skill
There are a few independant blokes running around which I'll use if all else fails.
