I just snapped one of the strut top bolt while tightening my strut brace. Is it safe to drive around with only the two still intacked? Is it an easy, cheap fix?

Dude, it should be fine for you to drive it easy to go and get it replaced, from memory it is like a stud bolt, they can knock it out, and place in another one.. Any suspension place can help out

It's safe - I drove around with only five for a few months. :)

lol - i don't think 'safe' is the right word.

I think 'not going to instantly kill you' would be more correct.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I asked this very question a while back on ozliberty. Options were to get a new top hat, or find the right stud and get it pressed in again. My $2 solution, went to a bolt shop and bought a bolt of the same size/thread. Took the strut out, drilled out the old. Cut the new bolt to size and fed it through the bottom, got it stick welded on.

I would say under an hour. It's not a hard job at all.

How'd you go with this? Get it fixed? What did they/you do and how much did they slug you for it?

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Public holiday today so I couldn't do anything <_<
If a suspension shop can't fix it I might have some strut tops lined up
