SYDNEY – Aug 15, 2011: Subaru drivers are set to get the most out of their mileage this snow season, with the award-winning car company today announcing a new incentive program for its customers. New and existing Subaru owners will be offered free Perisher MyRide Club membership, allowing them to purchase discounted lift tickets for the resort online, receive retail and accommodation discounts and much more.

Building on Subaru’s successful four-year partnership with the iconic Australian ski resort, the free membership unlocks a huge number of exciting offers available at Perisher for the remainder of the 2011 snow season (until 3rd October). Valued at $49, the MyRide Club membership card can be directly loaded and reloaded with discounted lift tickets, as well as cash (MyRide Money), that can then be used at selected Perisher retail and food and beverage outlets for those essential on-mountain purchases.

Excited to see the reactions of Subaru owners across Australia, Andrew Caie, General Manager Marketing at Subaru says: “We are extremely proud of our partnership with Perisher, and we want to reward customers by passing on the benefits.

“A free MyRide Club membership means Subaru owners can enjoy the luxury and convenience of their next snow adventure with the added benefit of ‘direct to lift access’ – something we know our customers will value and really add to their Subaru snow experience.”

The Perisher MyRide Club card uses RFID (Radio Frequency Identity) contactless technology to allow guests to simply scan their way through lift gates – shortening queue times and doing away with having to retrieve traditional paper based tickets from a pocket or inside a jacket for inspection.

To reap the rewards of this offer, Subaru owners can simply visit the registration page on the Subaru website (subaru.com.au), fill in their 17 digit VIN number and car registration details.

Once verified, an acknowledgment email is sent to the owner to be presented to resort staff at the Perisher Valley ticket office who will assist in creating the owner’s own personal MyRide Club user profile and issue the membership card – allowing them to utilise every aspect of the integrated platform.

The free MyRide membership and MyRide card will be available to Subaru owners only and the MyRide card can be reloaded and re-used season after season. The free membership offer will be heavily promoted by Subaru and Perisher with an eDM being distributed to its database of verified owners and is strictly limited to one membership per vehicle – capped at 500 cards.

Hi,

Unless they're letting me go skiing in the KFC cold room, I don't think this is relevant to WA people.

Cheers,
Nik
