Wrx wheels - Issue with rubbing

Roryt7's Photo Roryt7 20 Aug 2011

Hey, I just bought some wrx wheels and tried to put them on my 1997 liberty wagon. They when I lowered the car back down, the wheel was rubbing on the suspension. It has stock suspension.
Can anyone help.....

Rubbing on the strut? if so, this sounds like an offset issue. Are they the WRX 17s from the 01-05 GD wrx? Split 5 spokes. if so Im pretty sure they have a 53 offset and I think liberty's are 55?? Someone with more knowledge than me could shed some light on this.

They should fit.
How's the camber?

The angle of the photo couldn't be much worse either...

And what do i have to do to it?

Is the hub hard up against the strut?
Look in where the hub slides into the bracket and tell me how much gap there is.

To alter the camber all you do is rotate that top bolt.

No you shouldn't need spacers, those wheel should fit. Something is wrong.

no stock camber bolts on the back of rubies. KCA414 is the whiteline kit you are after. I can do the kit for $80 posted if you like.

looks like there is too much negative camber on there if the top of the tyre is rubbing on the strut, is the car lowered at all from standard?

Wouldn't have thought lowering a Subaru would effect the camber, not like it does on a Commodore.

My BD has a tapered bolt in the top hole as standard. If its in backwards funny shit can happen.

I've always wondered if you had spare camber bolts from the front if you could use them in the rear?
