ive spent all day wiring up the sound system in the impreza and works fine but once you start the motor you get this high pitched wine come through the speakers and it get louder when you rev the engine. only thing i can think of is the rca's and power cable is to close to each other and this is causing the it, magnetic feild from the power cable.
the system is as follows and where all the cables are run in the car are also there.

top of the line sony head untit
circet one:
x2 12inch kicker subs
kicker rca kit (run down right side of car)
4g kicker power cable (left isde of car)
4g earth kit (earth to top of boot)
kicker mono block amp
kicker bass tuner (run down right side of car)

cirect 2:
kenwood 6x9s
reponse 2 chanel amp
8g power (left isde of car)
8g earth cable kit (earth to top of boot)
airopro rca kit (left isde of car)

You've wired the battery cord and the aux cords down the same side of the car.

RCA's run past the fuel pump.
To test if it is actually that, unplug them at the amp and the H.U and run another set straight down the middle of the car and see if the noise goes away.

Also, good earth/s? I.e back to bare metal.

Edit - eathred on the parcel shelf? Get rid of that and run it to somewhere solid.

my mate had the same problem, so we changed all the rcas to one side and power cables to other, wrapped the power cable in the boot in congute and now its all good

get better wiring! my rca's, signal and power cable is run down the same side of the car with no dramas.

Kicker ZCK4 - shipped from us for like 120$? very malleable as well.

then again, i only have power going to the 1 amp
