Imagine something dropped off one of the top shelves at Bunnings, and you had to jump to grab it before it landed on top of a customer but there were people between you and the customer that you have to push out of the way to get to said 'in danger' customer.

Now, imagine if a work collegue saw this as a competitive move (and a way to relieve his sexual tension towards you) and also tried to jump for this falling object.

If you catch this falling object before your sexually motivated work collegue, that is a marking contest.
