Happy fathers day to all who have the privilege.

Congrats Morgan on the sweet purchase! Auto or manual?

Looking forward to when the mods begin.

Hai Jase. Hai Shaz.

Stop work today. Eight 13 hour days in a row of spinning spanners, loosing parts, and grazing knuckles has taken its toll.
Need to replace a seal on the passenger side front shaft input at the gearbox. Sonfabitch. Mechanical Stig says that it may be a messy job, and that it may require special tooling to set tensions in the front diff.

After that, need to chase a couple bits and bobs, put in clutch, put in engine, and run some k's into her.

Ben should be able to do that in a few minutes then shouldn't he?

Hopefully.

I never realised how an epic mission this was going to be. And in a weird kind of way, I was thinking at different moments, that what I've done this time, may probably be one of the most retarded things I have ever done. People keep telling me that it will be fkn good.

I hope so.

I also realise now though, why mechanics turn jobs like this down, why they rush things, and why they charge so much.

I've also found a few little bodgey little things here and there. They've been fixed ;)

It's definitely been a character building experience on many many fronts.

I must admit, it didn't seem like it was going to be a huge job, but I have no idea what is involved. Thought it would just be, pull out old Subaru heart and running gear, insert new stuff, drive away when weekend is over!

I'm sort of tossing up between the same sort of conversion at the moment to freshen up my interest in the car, or move onto a newer wagon. Can't decide what I want.

For me, the car has some sentimental value. It was the only car I've truly given my old boy a fright. He loved it.

If only I could get take him for a zap when I'm done, what would he say?

For me, the car has the appeal. Bolt ons work. It extends an endless amount of modifications via the GC8 compatibility platform.
Weighs a little more than a GC8, but about the same as a GD :)

And it looks like an innocent family wagon.

And after next week, it'll go alright.

Not many cars around like that.

Built. Not bought.

Just realised someone owns an SVX about 2 streets away from my house! Man they are nice, oddly shaped.. but I like it.

And now I know how to change a fuel pump! Yew, I'm climbing ranks.

SVXs are mad.

I like mechanical stig's SVX.

This thread needs more chrome, as much as I hate it on modern cars.
