I am not certain what RPM he gets the thing to leaving our street but he gives it a good few seconds of squirt and nothing improves, thing still sounds terrible.They all sound horrible at idle, but this is the issue with flat-plane crank V8s.

Interesting Ferrari discussion. Can I point out that there is a big difference in being able to afford to buy a Ferrari and being able to afford to own a Ferrari. These are supercars. They werent built with reliability in mind. They were built to perform and in many respects would be on the edge of breaking simply to get that performance. People who can afford to own them understand this and that's why they are prepared to put their vast amounts of dollars into them.
