If i lose my licence over this, i will be so pissed.
Hopefully they let dad cop the points.
I also have an option of going on a 1 year good behaviour bond if i lose all points.

You guys cop a heck of a lot more penalty for the stopping within distance of a crossing, in WA it's 10M, and only a 1PU if you are 'caught'.

You can get up to 20PU's in NSW!!!

Question: I want to appeal my parking ticket. What are some useful tips?
If you are appealing your parking ticket on compassionate grounds or exceptional circumstances, write a detailed letter to the local council who issued you with the fine and the Office of State Revenue. The letter should state exactly why you think it was reasonable for you to park in the area. Be as precise as possible. Basically you need to convince the local council that anyone else would have done the same in your situation and hopefully they will overturn their decision. This can be difficult. If they do not overturn their decision, you can possibly then take the matter to court for a magistrate to decide.
If you wish to appeal your parking ticket as you believe it may not have been legally issued, get as much evidence as you can. Take photos of your where your car is parked and the surrounding area. Also if there are any witnesses that have seen where your car is parked, get their names and numbers and if they allow you, have them sign a witness statement stating where and how your car was parked.
You should then prepare a letter to send to the Local Council that issued the fine and the Office of State Revenue. The letter should outline the reasons you wish for your parking ticket to be overturned and refer to your evidence. If they do not overturn their decision, you can possibly then take the matter to court for a magistrate to decide.

If you want a hand writing a letter, or just want someone to look over it, let me know mate. Always happy to help. I might not know how to rebuild your engine, but I can talk people into just about anything.

If I couldn't, I'd still be a virgin... right?

Jordan I highly doubt you'd lose points. Only Police can do issues loss of points. Cochroach council officers more or less have the same authority we do apart from being able to raise revenue for the council.

Shiv, I have been to Melbourne enough times to know it's ok, but I do think Sydney is better in most aspects. They have Lygon street but beyond that not a lot else.

Don't get me wrong Josh - I love Sydney. Sydney shits on Melbourne. I just think Melbourne CBD is better than Sydney CBD. That's all...

Being a non gambler at a casino is awesome. I love it.

Lygon St is the coolest street in Australia. Love it.

I love the whole vibe of the city. Very chilled out.
AND THE FOOTY! Can beat watching your team smash a long term rival infront of the biggest crowd at an elimination final ever! Oh the noise!

Melbourne's better. I can say that without being bias.
Everything is planned and laid out better and not as ridiculously huge.

The envelope on the windscreen was empty, but im assumings its both Parking in a no stopping zone, and parking too close to a pedestrian crossing, both in a school zone.

I prefer Melbourne as a holiday, just love the vibe in the inner city. It's all personal, but we've done Sydney and Melbourne a few times each now, and we're going back to Melbourne next month.

I think it was you who summed it up pretty well when you came to Sydney - you said that in Sydney, YOU had to seek out the cool stuff. Whereas in Melbourne, the good stuff finds you.

Anyway Sydney, Melbourne blah blah.....anywhere is good :D

You'll be right Jords. Sounds like it was your fault then if the sign was already there? Just cop it and get on with it.

I've not long got mine back mate, I lost it for two years, before that it was six months, before that three months. If anyone knows the pain, it's me.

Be careful taking the double or nothing option for a year. Sometimes it's better to cop the three months and return with a full deck.

Yo Nikko. We ended up getting 7.2L's per 100k's, including driving through Melbourne peak hour and using cruise control all the time. Not bad for a heavyish 2.5L Suby.

Oh I forgot it doesn't have a real engine.

:D

Good consumption though.

Especially if it was lugging your massive head around.
