Hey guys,

I am trying to find this info for a mate who has a 2001 liberty. He is wanting to replace the fuel filter and has looked online but where the pictures show his fuel filter is meant to be is his cruise control module (same as my outback).

Can anyone tell me where he would find his fuel filter.

Cheers guys

Be careful, very careful, when removing the fuel lines from the plastic barbs.
If you bust them you need to replace the housing.

Once you get the price from Subaru, you will require medical attention.

You gotta take out the back seat, its on the side behind the driver. It's actually really easy, and the fuel filter is attached to the fuel pump. I had to change the fuel pump about 3 weeks ago and I did the filter at the same time. Make sure you disconnect the negative, and run all the petrol in the system out before you work on it though.

Get out of my thread.

Good point.

Unplug the pump, start the engine and let it run 'till it stalls.
