Need some help lads. Remember a couple months ago, my fuel pump died in Maroubra parking lot and I went back the next day, put a new one in and fixed it?

Well today I was driving normally, suddenly car decides to konk out and I was left on the side of the road, where the engine wouldnt crank over? I had petrol, bla bla bla.. so I go to the jerry can I had left in my car that had maybe a litre left and pour a bit directly into the throttle body, and voila, car starts up fine, a bit rough, but gets ticking over normally and I was able to get to my destination easy.

On my way home from such a place, I drive maybe 20m and the car dies again right in the middle of an intersection. I was able to push the car over the other side of the road. It just wouldnt tick over again, like droplets of petrol were getting through but it wasnt enough for the car to completely tick over and continuously run. I get on the phone, make a couple phone calls, go to start the car up again.. and voila? The car starts again, runs well and I manage to get home.

What's the go?

The fuel pump is only like I said a couple months old, surely it couldn't have died yet? Maybe it's just a faulty one?
