Yeah I'll strip the fuel assembly of the fuel pump and go back there with the receipt tomorrow.. and I'm positive it's the fuel pump as its doing EXACTLY the same as it did last time my fuel pump died.. put a new one in and it fixed it.. It doesn't even click over anymore and the start motor just keeps running.

Check the pump wiring.. i had an issue with the gen1 where i replaced the pump 3 times before i found the wiring on the pump was buggered, it wouldn't prime, so it wouldnt start, but once running it was usually fine but then sometimes it would conk out still.. re-wired with a new plug and some fresh wire in the last 10cm or so..and never an issue again.
