My sister is caught up in these riots, she works for the city and has been told to remove all her work clothing/identification tags and to leave the office through a back door.
It sounds like overkill but I am glad they are looking after the innocent people that are being targeted by these misguided thugs.
Hopefully she will be OK. It is really popping off over there right now. She said people were pulling the tent poles from the ground and attacking Police with them.

I haven't really noticed any change in boost but I don't really drive it in the middle of the day.
What should I be noticing?

Explain to me more about this heatsoak?
When sitting in traffic, hot air being hot air - it rises into the massive heatsink that sits on top of your motor.
You'll probably notice the car being a bit laggy when you first take off if you've been sitting still for ages but it usually settles and cools itself down after a few seconds of air flowing over it.
This is the FMIC vs TMIC debate.
Do you put up with 3-5 seconds of a warm TMIC till it cools or do you go FMIC and have it away from the heat (and heatsoak) but obviously the air has a longer distance to travel to get to the motor meaning it will be slightly less responsive when off-boost.
Silly debate.
Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I suppose I wouldn't really notice anything because of my tiny TD04... Plus I don't boost that much... Plus if I'm sitting in traffic there's nowhere really to boost unless it's inside the boot of the car infront...

But yes, essentiallly whay Alex has said. Can last a bit longet than a few secconds.
Yours may not be as noticable because im assuming you still have factoroy heat shields?
I dunno. But it shits me, because in winter my turbo spools up almost instantly at lights e.t.c. but is laggy as in summer.

Also Morgan - nah doubt you would notice that much. If you're really concerned and don't want to fork out monies for a FMIC conversion look at getting a 2nd pump for your windscreen washer bottle and rig up some waterspray jobby. Give it a quick squirt while at the lights cools it realll good.
@Adam; if you're going new motor (and new turbo) and more boost, probably fmic would be an alright option. Not really worth it if you're running stock boost on a stock turbo

No doubt there will be one or two fanbois who will argue, but it's general thread and that's how it is.
