Im still super tempted to buy a goPro. But I know its a waste of money!

Its a waste of money if you use it as a dash cam. Too many people do this and its pointless as a regular camera can do the same thing (with better sound quality).

I've had mine for 3-months now. Hardly used the damn thing because I can never remember to bring the appropriate brackets etc out. But I finally got around to mounting it underneath my car last week and on a short journey around my neighbourhood, it was fascinating to see what the wheels and suspension was doing.

I want to try take it out with me this weekend and give it a proper test. Get it a bit dirty and use it for what it was designed for!

Shiv, Please post up sample vids, even unedited. Actually unedited would be preferable. (or email depending on size)

I really want one, but dont know if i can justify it. I think it would be good for trips/cruises. Once the right editing is done. But $300+ is a bit of a sore point with me!

I used my GoPro so much on my recent trip to the Whitsundays.

I actually attached it to my keys, so wherever i went, I had it there.

Shit at night, and shit sound. A small fart would be enough to distort the mic.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Four and a half minutes is 491mb.

I'll try cut it down when I get a chance and YouTube it for ya. It was just for a test, so you see my mug aligning it for the first minute :P

Ok I'm cropping it now to about a minute.

Morgs, I mounted it on the charcoal canister. Its plastic so it makes a good surface.

They rave on about how good the sound is on their website. With wind noise gone and being able to hear the engine noise? Comments?

Only if you can Shiv, that would be great, if not... no big loss. Im sure theres plenty on youtube already if i use my search skills!

Its BS about the sound quality. You'd think my car was a hybrid from some of the videos I've taken....

But as another Sydney SC member rightfully corrected me - there is nothing else on the market for this price where you can drive properly at speed and not have wind noise like you would with a regular mic.

No worries about the video. Its all happening faster than I expected. Hopefully within the next 30-min....

The sound is rubbish.

You can KINDA hear the engine noise when its mounted IN the car, with NO case at all.

Go on Youtube, type in Cruisin In The Lib and check out the sound footage on that. Thats the one i recorded, and uploaded straight away, with no editting.

Makes it harder for us to get work done. City folk seem to like it.

What? Why?

Sig worthy.

Way to drag up a 5 hour old conversation....

Only reason it would be good is because I deal with some people in the eastern states.

Other than that, no care.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Haha yeah I've been looking after Georgia today. Much more involved than actually working. So very little SC time.
I'd much prefer to have sunlight at the end of the day. So you can actually enjoy summer after work hours. I like being able to go to the beach after work for an hour or two.

Sig worthy.
