Since im considering doing a Parallel Fuel Line, i'd like to know from the guys who have done it or even changed their fuel pressure regulator which one they are using.
Sine there is heaps on the market and the prices are different and brands.
Any of them fail or just dont flow etc...

cheers

The SARD FPR seems to be a popular choice. Not sure if that's because it's so shiny and colourful or not...

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Hi,

Is the FPR redundant whence a fuel pump is not up to the flow?

Cheers,
Nik

It's interesting you guys mentioned SARD ive got one in my other car and the guage part has cracked and leak's fuel. So im reluctant to get another one..

Luke that could be a choice for shiny or color but i rather have good and dont care about shiny or color but not pay stupid amounts...

skillionaire - the reason im doing it is the stock FPR has destroyed my high flow pump, so it has to go and since its going the logical choice is to do a parallel fuel line at the same time...

Hi,

So it has restricted flow which has created impeller back pressure onto the FPR? I'm confused. I was under the impression that an FPR is defined in usage by the rate/flow of which the pump can create.

Are you saying your FPR is not able to 'flow' what your uprated fuel pump is capable of?

Cheers,
Nik

What is confusing you Nik? I'm asking which one people use?

The car i want to do the parallel fuel line mod on is stock with a high flow pump also which has been killed, it does not deliver fuel when engine is in high rpm(but its beside the point)

the cracked gage sard FPR is on a total diff car....

Hi,

I am confused as to why the FPR is the cause of a fuel pump failure.

Sorry dude, but I am with these guys on this, it is not picking on you but please do explain how the FPR has killed a fuel pump.

If this is the case, which I am not too sure that it would be (just my opinion) than you should let others know before they too are subjected to fuel pump failure by murderous FPR's.

Indeed.

As someone who is allegedly an "expert" in this field, I await your "expert" opinion.

I've had two different Sard regulators on two different parallel rail set-ups, both time with different Walbro fuel pumps. Pumps have been fine.

Check your wiring to the pump or how the pump sits in the bracket.
