Ahoy hoy all,

There's no interior section here on these forums, so I thought I'd post it just here instead.

Just wondering.

I have a gauge pod that holds a gauge. 60mm.

I want to put in a 52mm gauge.

I don't want to use electrical tape to jam it in.

I don't want to ghetto fit it.

Anyone has any ideas about making a reducer for it?

An image to give you an idea.

Get a ring machined up with an ID of 52mm and OD of 60mm? Either use metal or plastic as the material?

Bog/fiberglass/fill the hole in a little.

Reshape the inside of the hole to the perfect size.

Would need to be painted

Goto a steel shop, and get a 8mm thick 52mm ring done up, that will act as a "joiner" between the gauge, and the existing pod 52mm ID and 60MM OD?

Drill holles and insert 5mm LEDs for bonus round.

Use hole saw, make something like this out of plastic or similar to sit behind and on the inside of current hole:

Then paint it black.

Or use what Alex and Aek posted up, that looks good :)

If your in no hurry alex I can get one done in a week or too when I have free time. But them adaptors for $14 seem pretty good.

Was about to say the same thing...though less time ;)

Good old work! im sure one of the fitters could knock one up in a short amount of time? Though $15 for one seems to good to pass on :D

Nah works pretty flat out for us common folk. But its looking like my part of the outage will be finished this week. Realistlcly it's about half hour of machining. But it's finding time to do it. And unless you could get me some of that white nylon plastic it'd have to be made out of metal, or ABS pipe?

Ohh just remembered dad has a lathe downstairs I could use :D

Overwhelming response! Yew!

The link what Alexxxxxxxx & Aek posted is ideally what I'd like.

But its too far away, and postage will cost more moneys.

Mark & Matt - could you spin something like this up using black plastic?

If matt used a lathe he'd end up in a few peices on your 'work bench' at work :P

I can do it no worries, just a matter of finding the materials. Even if it's not black you could always paint it? What length do you want the sleeve machined too?
