Pinout Diagram for AFM needed.

Does anyone know of where one could acquire a pin out diagram for orange stickered AFM and if possible, a purple/green stickered?
Thinking of converting my orange stickered AFM to more accessible type, and need the pin outs to make sure I wire the correct bits together.
From what I can tell, the only difference between the orange and purple, is a temp sensor. My orange stickered one has an external air temp sensor thats plugged into the drivers side guard, whereas the more commonly available ones have an inbuilt air temp sensor, which I would wire into my existing external air temp sensor.
Other then that, they both use 5v and can't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
Cheers,
Shazza
I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Are they both the same signal output?
ie. voltage or frequency?
As far as I'm aware Jase. Gunna give it a go this Sat.

Standard are 80mm, JDM STi/GTB (orange stickered) are 90mm.
Outputs are different between the two.
GTB never had external temp sensor. STi did. Regardless, it'll work with or without one, and has nothing to do with AFM.
I know this because the PowerFC units that require AFM, read different values between the two. The STI/GTB one is designed to rear more air, so to speak, hence the bigger diameter.
The only way to use the common 80mm AFM is to use a piggyback ECU. Billsy has done something similar in the past. Probably best to message him, but from memory, he wasn't entirely happy with the end result.
Probably even better to blow the sand out of your vashina, and buy an AFM off import monster or a decent import wrecker, before you go running off meddling with shit you know little about in the hope of fixing your car, where you'll make it worse.

AFM's don't break every week. While it's not un common for a faulty one, how often will you be changing it?

But, I'd rather change it once for $0, then change it once for $200.
Catch my drift?

My idle is starting to bounce now.
Fun :/
Surely there's somewhere that repairs AFMs? It'd only be a dry solder joints, yeah?

Shaz, I would be giving your original sensor a good looking over, check for dry joints etc before trying to modify shiz.

Are the sensors "openable"?
You can open them Adam but you need to be careful cutting the 'lid' off.
