There was about an inch of water across most of the floor when I got there. now its just the very very very very wet carpets.

Poor bastard just got back from a eruo holiday with his mrs so he is broke. Had a trip to Broome this week for a wedding (got there yesterday) had had to fork out extra due to qantas... and now is coming back to clean up his house (so more rebooking of flight$)

i ripped my pants

my bunky is just about dead (really hard to get it started)

His car is in the shop getting fixed after being rear ended

and i have to go pick his mum up and take her to the chemist soon (i guess I'll pick him up too)

OK, OAKS.

My lord, If anyone that I was talking to over the last months that was jelly of me going to the cup - don't be - be jealous of me going to the Oaks. Quite honestly it was four thousand and sixteen times better than what we did at the Cup on Tuesday.

So. Last night, chilling with Viktor (from OzLib fame - LEGEND) having a few brews in the lobby, about 2 in the morning actually. Bloke walks in, little bloke... started having a chat... rode a winner called Sub Zero a few years back.....

I started having a whinge and a bitch about me and Lish not even seeing a horse on Tuesday, I was in FULL RANT MODE TURBO CAPSLOCK, when another bloke walked in. Name not important, but he told me and Alisha to meet him in the lobby at 930 - and he'll take us out to the Oaks and show us the ropes...

Never one to not call someone's bluff - I was there at 9. Dude was ready to go at 930, tickets in hand, we were off to the Oaks. Mate. We got down to the stables we got to talk to a couple of jockeys, mate, insane. Mate. Amazing. Loved it. Alisha's head grew if only to accommodate her smile.

while I have no pics of it (didn't think of it TBH), let me paint you a word picture

They have a wii fit, it was ~2/3 covered.
The cats food bowl was floating. I was tempted to build them a little boat.
Every room has water in it.
The drain points are in the bath and laundry, which are at the other end of the house from the water supply.. They were working well.
The carpets now make squelchy noises.
I was able to use a bucket to scoop water from the tiled areas.
