I'd leave them as is. They look good and they break it up a bit from having a solid black look to the engine bay. Unless that is your intention.

Finished off the resonator delete a little better.

Downpipe adapter to suit 90mm pipe for a few $$ from Bunnings. Its the perfect size to fit into the airbox without any mods bar removing the white plastic section on the airbox inlet.

Just a few holes in the panel to fill with some rubber grommets.

Stock brakes (not for this car though)...

Gen4 GT 290mm rears and SH XT 294mm fronts in Brembo gold I had left over.

20140503_1642051_zpsfa36b5ec.jpg

Other changes to come in the next few weeks.....

Gen2 JDM GTB Billies, SF GT Foz 16's (still deciding to paint or not), '06 WRX oem diff back muffler (modded for suit), standard black mirrors.

On another note....

Its sooo much easier to just cut the radiator support out and remove a motor forward still on the cross member. :sarcastic:

Nope gearbox was mcrooted in the blue car.

White car was hit on the rh front and quarter. It has low kms and a perfect box with a new clutch fitted 700kms before the accident.

Also had almost new Xplode headunit and Fusion splits. 16" Speedy rims with near new tyres and King spring lows. Upper spec model so has great sports seats also.

Bought entire car for $400, owner had no time to part anything, just needed it gone. :D

Swapped over most of the good bits already into the blue car, shell was collected last night (5 days after I got it) and now sell the rest for more than it cost me to buy. Winning. :D

Its the best way to do it. Wreckers wanted $700 for a 5 speed box. This way I get the box for free, some nice upgrades for free and make some cash back on the remaining parts.

Getting money and acquiring parts you need... Anyone could live with that.

The irony is, you are pretty much your own wreckers, but one car at a time ;)

Well my journey with the Outback is over. Watched it drive away today. Hope the new owner enjoys it as I did and it serves him well.

I'll still get to see it hopefully with progress pics when the new owner puts his touch on it. ;)

I still see my Gen4 everyday at work! :D
