Hahah yeah, we have one tradie who actually comes in and buys Ozito cordless drills.. has a few in the work truck and uses those wherever he can, that way if it gets knocked off he doesn't care, he leaves them at the jobsite or throws them after the job, only uses his good quality drill when absolutely needed.

I sand the walls using a 240v Bosch 1/3 sheet sander, hooked up to an old vacuum cleaner.

Works a treat, sand all day without stopping, sand paper costs f..kall and little dust.

Win.

The only battery tool I have is my cordless drill. Everything else (about 14 other tools) are 240v. (and some air tools)

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Depends.

On the walls, from memory was 180 grit so the next coat has something to stick to.

For the timber I start with 80 or 120, then finish the undercoat/sealer with 320 as I use full gloss enamel.

@ Nik.

I CBF screwing around with batteries. 99% of the jobs I do I need to run out a lead anyway.

Some tools just dont cut it with batteries.

Yesterday I cut a 25mm hole in a 10mm thick piece of plate steel. Battery drill.....pfffft. I used my 800w 240v Metabo....like a hot knife through butter.

All tools should have chrome accents. :)

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Morning all.

I'm getting the Ryobi +1 Impact wrench for Christmas. It will be more than enough for my usage. I have the Ryobi corded impact drill and have my eye on a few other +1 tools... Might have to paint the walls of the garage fluro green to match

I honestly thought about painting my walls in the garage something bright haha! But thinking of something passive now. It's an unimportant part of the garage anyway!

Just something that doesn't throw hard shadows would be suitable for a working garage.

As heartless as this may be, they are already an experiment. Experiment in keeping them alive. Not ALL that long ago, they would have been terminated straight away.
