Hi guys!
I just bought a 2001 Liberty RX sedan (woohoo!), but when we put a CD in the stereo it comes up with an error message "er 6". We've tried a couple of different cd's and the same message comes up. Any ideas?
It's fitted with the Type B audio set in the manual. It's got a 6 stacker under the seat too, but the same error message comes up when a disc is inserted into it. I'll post a pic of the system if needed for ID.
Cheers!

Yea that JVC unit should fit straight in.
'Double din' is a standard size.
Not sure what's going on with the unit you've currently got in there? I'd say something's wrong with the connection between the stacker and the HU?

Curiously, were the CD's store bought cds?
Err 6 aparantly means incompatible format, according to gougle!

Maybe try a lens cleaner cd in there to get you at least working?
Dunno if it would make a difference though.

Ok, so I ordered one of these puppies today.
I'm pretty sure it has a 20 pin wiring harness, and I'm pretty sure my suby has a 14 pin, so does this mean it should just be a matter of pugging it straight in, and away I go? I figured out how to get the old one out yesterday. I'm not running a system or anything, just a straight HU swap.
