hand brake cable retainer clips on rear hub

i have replaced the g2 rear brakes with 99 wrx hubs complete all sweet just stuggling to get the clip back in its position. any one have the secret or advice to help?? cheers Lyndon

it seems like they just do not want to go back in their home!!

I never really struggled with them Lyndon when I did my R180 conversion. Bashed them on with a closed set of pliers.

Make sure the handbrake cable is in its correct position.

Also, loosen off the handbrake cable at the handbrake, for a little extra length at the hub end.

cheers alex. cable is in position. I'll go loosen the handbrake off a fair bit now and see how that goes. I have given the clip a few good hits out of 4 clips i have 2 that havent needed severe panel beating!! seems like the handbrake is locked on and im about to pull the hubs off to try to sus it out if the drum tensioner might be too tight then ill put the clip on with any luck.
