Alright guys i need a hand with something. My mates got quite a problem with his gen2 lib.

When he turns his aircon on the horn comes on. My question is where to start?? Any suggestions? Anyone had a problem like this?

Would anyone have any wiring diagrams for a 98 Gen 2?? If so it would be a great help as we are hoping not to have to take it to a autoelec

Cheers in advance :)

Sounds like the A/C is back feeding to the horn.
Does the horn come on when the A/C switch is turned on, or is it when the A/C compressor cuts in?

Start with the basics, check all the fuses. Use a test light! (not a LED one)

Could be a dodgy relay not opening/closing. Try swapping them around.
The A/C system will have at least two.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Ahh shit mate, my utmost apologies.

I completely forgot to get you those diagrams. Crazy time of year. I'll endeavour to do it tomorrow for you time willing.

so turns out my wires had shorted out on each other in the drivers front guard(no inner guard, 18's, lowered, bad roads lol) had scrubbed on the wheel and worn away the protective coating on the wires to the extent my hazards didnt work, and my aircon compressor turned on my horn :) was quite a shock going down the highway lol.

Ouch, lucky no problems with the Airbag wiring (yellow cables) keep an eye out for that!
