Hahaha, bit of a laugh... Would suck for Germany to have to bail everyone out! Germany now exports almost as much in dollar value as China, not massively far off which I found interesting.@Lukosh:

I really don't get this "China owns the US economy" thing though... it really doesn't and shows peoples lack of understanding in world finance. They are one of the larger holders of US debt but they are not THE largest... a large majority of it is domestically owned, China currently hold 8%... yes that is a big number but it is not all as some suggest.
The US Social Security trust fund is the largest holder, they have a 19% stake in it, they are not the sole holdings of US domestic holdings either.
