Also, correct my if I'm wrong, but super stiff coilies seemed to eat my tyres a lot quicker - granted I was running 200+KW@TW - but the coils seemed to be what made the tyres degrade a lot faster. When I went back to a spring strut combo I found wear to be better?

THIS ARTICLE IS INFURIATING!

Cultural snobbery (?????????????REALLY FAGCHOPS??? REALLY??? LIKING A BETTER PRODUCT MAKES US SNOBS???? REALLY?????)

Social researcher (THAT IS NOT A REAL JOB) Mark McCrindle says the changing drinking habits of Australians is a trend recorded in a recent report, Australia Redefined.

"Certainly the imported beers, people ... are more likely to want to have a Becks or a Heineken in their hand than just the old can of VB or Tooheys," he said.

"So there is that shift because there is a social desirability angle around it.

"It's not that people don't want to be seen with a beer anymore, but it's a beer in a glass or it's an imported beer that is more likely to go down well."

Mr McCrindle says it may be cultural snobbery.

"Perhaps because we have moved away from the snags and the beer culture and we do like to see ourselves as a 24/7 city cuisine ... country, rather than one that's navel gazing and true blue as it used to be in the past," he said.

But Peter Russell-Clarke, food and wine writer and television chef, says the glut of Australian wine is to blame for the drop in beer sales.

He says the glut means there is a cheap competitor and alternative to beer.

"I do know that people drink with their hip pocket and I think that the cheap wines, which are very drinkable in Australia, have certainly affected sales," he said.

But Mr Johnston defends the brewer's core product.

"Beer is still a terrific business. More than one in every two beers drunk in this country is one of ours," he said.

Foster's is doubling its marketing budget for VB to more than $30 million this year, hoping to recover quickly from this hangover.

The most amazing thing to me is that they completely disregard in their summation of Australian drinking habits, the massive influx of Muslim culture to this nation.

You all know how I feel about it anyway, but Posted Image me, no wonder AS A NATION we're not drinking as much, when we've have an unconceivable increase in the amount of non-drinking Muslims migrate here!!!

Most likely, Coil overs (proper quality ones) are more track equipment, road cars runs struts because they work.

Stiff suspension despite popular belief will often decrease handling... the so called "sitting flat through the corners" thing is bullshit to a point, some degree of roll is desirable and necessary on a road car in order to have a good handling car. Stiff arse cars with no roll tend to bounce and hop and not maintain as much traction across rougher surfaces.

One positive to having 'desirable' levels of body roll (don't get me wrong, I am not talking 1970's yank tanks levels... but more roll than most shitty cheap coilovers) is that it will hold the tyre to the road a little more.

Friction circle is always a good thing to reference when talking handling :D

I don't care if you're a Muslim, I couldn't care less, if you're here and you're an alright bloke or sheila - fuckin' sweet. What I'm saying is, these studies into our eating and drinking habits all seem to be avoiding the elephant in the room!

I am not talking about them on an individual level, just some of the major cons that come along with their religion...

Josh, the muslim religion of Islam is actually a very, super peaceful religion, in its original form.

However, the common misception of all Muslims being terrorists, only fuels those who follow that ridiculous Shariah law, and in turn creates the "radical muslims" you're always hearing about.

I've got some mates and chickmates who are some of the nicest people I know and they're Muslim. Hell, you've all met my missus, and she's muslim. Would you be able to tell the difference if i hadn't told you that? She obviously doesnt follow the whole no sex before marriage, and no drinking and no bacon, because she loves to nom the shit out of a B&E roll.

I refer back to my correspondance to the nun who wants to be in gods tits from yesterday.

Most religions just create war through indifference. Simple as that. That is why I have chosen the religion of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Shazzas post

I should probably have clarified that my gripe is with the strict ones.. Your missus drinks and smokes LOL not the type of Muslim I am talking about whatsoever. BTW I knew she was, I first suspected it because she is Bosnian and I either asked or your mate Zok made fun of her or something along those lines :P

I am talking about the large quantity I get to deal with around ashfield that come from the west and what not that still wear their sheets and the women come in dressed like black ghosts... those style ones, they are more often than not extremely arrogant towards anyone who is not dressed the same as them.

Yeah he gives her hell hahahaha.

And I agree with you on the burka clad majority. They every now and again come into the bank, and when we ask them to remove their headpiece, in a private room, with only a female bank officer, they still whinge about being picked on, even though we HAVE to ask them to remove it for identity and security reasons.

Hahaha telling her that if she wasn't with you he would "stick one in her arse" when she complained he never said anything nice to her was still one of the funniest things he said.

People are people and can believe what they want, but when they choose to use those beliefs to dictate their lifestyle to such a high degree and think that they have the right to push it onto others is what pisses me off.

Hey Mr Third highest poster.. how is life in third spot treating you?

Shaz

An unknown number of Australian stock accounts are believed to have been hacked and used for unauthorised trading, the Australian markets regulator has warned.

Clients of online stockbroking firms need to urgently review their account security, ASIC said in a statement today

ASIC recommended users of online stockbroking accounts ensure their computer virus software is up-to-date, change passwords and check transaction history.

I feel like I haven't been on GT for years.

But it's only been a week.

GT time goes fast.

Ren-Dawg, sorry for rejecting your friendwequest. I need to have a beer or a dinner date with you before you can become my friend. ;)
