Happy new beer boys!

Had a cracker of an anniversary last night. Epic meal was epic.

Entree.

Main.

Main tasted better than the photo made it look.

Dessert.

All wines included like a baus.

Stayed on the 18th floor (top floor) of a 5 start hotel in the city. Epic suit with 3 rooms and spa.
Sat on the balcony and watched many fireworks while drinking nice champagne.

Then had sex.

Which I deserved because I paid for everything. :D

Nothing like spending new years day working on my car with my dad.

God BMW's are pieces of shit.

Was running on 5 cylinders but found a suspect spark plug that won't spark. Thankfuck for supercheap being open today.

Probably my next investment should be something with <100,000km or <5 years old.

Generally a car isn't an investment, but in your case it would be :P

Bro, smart choice, I could've bought an older xt (like morgz) or my current model xs, now which one will be worth more in 4 yrs when I want to sell? The n/a with factory everything and <50000km, not the turbo that is an awesome car but I would've over customized it, and wound up the boost.... If you really want to invest, put the little bits of money you want to spend on shiny rims and LEDs in a hi interest bank acc and then when you want something more decent (engine conversion, wrx upgrade etc) you'll have the $ sitting there.

FYIthe avg hi interest bank acc will pay $40/month on just $2400. That's 2-3 wks pay after expenses. Talk to Shaz, manage your money young dude.

And waltz, romantic you are, but I believe spending big money on a gf makes her a prostitute, and I'll be damned if I'm going to date a prostitute, not after last time.....

Don't heaps agree...

Rate of depreciation has a little to do with it...

How much did you pay?

Say I sell mine in 4 years, it'll be a 9/10 year old car and I could probably get $12-13k for it? That's a loss of $3-4k.
If you sell yours in 4 years, it'll be a 5 year old car and you could sell it for $16-18k? I'm guessing that's a loss of about $10-12k?

Plus, it's a turbo

Sorry man, I was using your car as an example of the foz I was looking at, not using your purchase price. I'll be able to get $27k-ish in 4 yrs, this model is $44k new (not what I paid)

If you can get $27k for a 5 year old XS, I'll personally give you a wristy.

That's like asking $27k for an 06 model XS now. I bought my MY06 XT for $16k...

Yeah, but how many kms on it? There's 06 xs luxury's asking between $22k-$26k with approx 50k on the clock. No offense but your foz is the same shape as 03 only face lifted. Where as this is the current shape.

In 2015 there will be a new model out.

If mine's the same as the 03, yours is also the same as the 08. Which will be 7 years old in 2015.

People asking that much for their XS will be waiting a while to sell! Some MY06/07 XTs are up for $25k and not selling, let alone XS's!

Mine had 79k kms when I bought it, one owner, great condition :)

Look morgz, you can find a cheap example of any model and make. I'm just saying I'll be aiming to see $27k for this car in 4 yrs. now you can tell me about cheap xt's and xs's but at the end of the day low kms, one owner and leather/ sunroof fetches a good market... Who knows I might keep it as a family taxi if kids come along..., knock on wood. Or I can just buy a new one in 4 yrs, my work lease program buys the car off me at higher than the market price. I'm set.
