Epic day today! Anyone seen American pickers?

Practically did that today! Was great fun, got lots of hand tools for the new shed!

ahh cool! as much as we bag the French out, I don't think I would take them on in war... from what I hear they are pretty well equipped and their dudes are well trained.

Adam, I was about to crack my first beer at about lunchtime..... got a call from the house mate that the corolla was running like shit and undriveable.. couldn't accelerate etc.... where abouts did this occur.... right near Posted Image'ing picton on her way to sky diving...

Threw some tools in the car and made the mish out.... I got there and started the car up and the fucker was misfiring and running like utter shit, so I thought maybe the carby was a little clogged....... smacked a bit of carby cleaner through it and not much difference (have had a few probs with it but thought I had sorted it... appears for the moment I have) so next onto the spark leads/plugs took the first plug out... Posted Image'ing gunket to shit... next three.. exactly the same! fucker was burning oil.. cleaned them up as best as I could which made the car run pretty good, got it back to campbelltown and got some new plugs for it...

followed behind it and I noticed that backing off down a hill etc would produce a small amount of blue smoke..... thinking valve stem guides are ratshite or the valve stem seals.

Point is I blame you Adam as it was close to where you live.

Lol Yosh, FFL is not Frenchmen, it's all foreigners, Americans, Aussies, Brits, Africans, all Euros, and Asians, you join and get to pick a new name for yourself, and then get based in the assholes of the world going on some of the hardest missions....mainly fighting for NATO or France.

And then you get French citizenship if you want it.

It's a force where people runaway to, where you get to be reborn with a new name and identity. I just want to do it for shits and giggles.

FFL for shits and giggles? Jeebus.

Dont they take your passport and any ID off you when you join? And you cant have any contact with anyone "outside" for the first 6 months or something?
Thats a Posted Image'ing hardcore way to get your kicks man.

Sig worthy.

sounds like valve stem seals to me Josh. Had the same symptoms with the Corsa GSi I had when i was in England, which after dicking around during lunch breaks with the mechanics at the Vauxhall dealership I worked at, we decided it was seals. I didnt want to spend the money on it to pull the head off and sort it all as we were coming back to Australia a few months later, so we just drove it as it was. Used to be fine some days, then just crack the shits and hesitate, cut out, and all sorts. Made for some exciting motorway journeys up the M1 and M6, and a memorable drive at night through the northern Welsh highland laneways.

Sig worthy.

Can't go wrong with reefs Brett. I have about 8 pairs of them, in different designs. They even have a bottle opener on the bottom. Haha.

@Brett: One of those Gage Rd dudes that were on our course dropped in about an hour ago, I was like one minute into getting to sleep. I wandered off and he bailed, feel like a bit of a ****! He's pretty chill though I'm sure.

I have a pair of globe thongs, love em :D

Bretty, it could be either unfortunately... the guides means heads off and letting someone with the correct shit deal with it.... with the Corolla head they can press the old guides out and put some new ones in.... $$$$ though. Dad has some cool tools for doing the seals, loosen off any tension on the valve/spring so that intake and exhaust are fully closed, fits into the spark plug hole and puts enough pressure in the combustion chamber to take the spring and shit off and replace the valve stem seals without taking the head off.

Second storm for this afternoon is passing over.

Shorter dude. Briefly said Gage was going very well and that he enjoyed the red ale.

I know. Bummer. We have to babysit tonight so couldn't even invite him for brewskis after.

Life goes on.

I look and feel like shit anyway.

i should hit Gage up for a job again I reckon. Dunno. shift work isnt ideal. but bigger brewery experience would be good. Creatures are looking for Packaging operators at the moment. Ive shot them an email asking if they'd offer part time hours, so I could still brew at The Old.

Im going to do another kit brew but with a mini mash added to it, and more hops. Might through a different yeast strain at it too. something that likes a warm ferment. Maybe an irish ale yeast.

Sig worthy.

Hello all.

What do people think of the Nissan Elgrande? JDM import people movers.

In the next 10 years I'll probably have more kids than seats in a regular car and I'm NEVER going to buy a Tarago :P

I think the Elgrande is the answer. Either a 3.3 petrol or 3.0 TD motor, 8 seats, fully kitted out like only the Jap's know how....

Pretty pimp for a van.

Looks like the 03+ models had a 3.5L petrol engine and a 5sp auto instead of the earlier 4sp...

Also, the middle seats are reversable. That. is. epic.
