Just curious, how much do you have her insured for? Probably more than Ren's yearly salary.

@Ren: I'm not here to pour over your personal situation, quite the opposite, but I have to recommend you go and see Centrelink. I understand that you've said your father is on mega bucks, but if he's never owned a house and had to borrow to purchase a six thousand dollar vehicle, it simply isn't correct. Centrelink generally will go by assets encompassed, so unless he is earning well north of $150K/pa - you shouldn't be told, after being kicked out, that you're not eligible for some form of hand out.

ren - do you play an instrument?

None at all, I don't have any musical talent. Well i can sorta drum but not that great.
I'm pretty damn good at listening to it tho, and having the right gear to do so.

Are you classed as independent?

You're talking to someone who was surrounded by centrelink line gap fillers for most of his youth, just to give me credibility in my advice.

You will have to be assessed to prove that living at 'home' would be 'unreasonable' - I don't know what that's like these days, but it wasn't exactly easy ten years ago - so I can imagine that belt has had some tightening.

^^^^^^^ IGNORE THAT - YOU'RE OVER EIGHTEEN - I GORFETZ.

The best bet for you would be rent assistance, as you are under 25 and living out of home on a permanent basis - this payment is NOT subject (well it wasn't when I was kickin') to 'unreasonable' living standards, as it applies to those OVER 18 as well - where as youth allowance would be the goto for a <18yo.
