Toofs.@Ren: I'm not here to pour over your personal situation, quite the opposite, but I have to recommend you go and see Centrelink. I understand that you've said your father is on mega bucks, but if he's never owned a house and had to borrow to purchase a six thousand dollar vehicle, it simply isn't correct. Centrelink generally will go by assets encompassed, so unless he is earning well north of $150K/pa - you shouldn't be told, after being kicked out, that you're not eligible for some form of hand out.

The best bet for you would be rent assistance, as you are under 25 and living out of home on a permanent basis - this payment is NOT subject (well it wasn't when I was kickin') to 'unreasonable' living standards, as it applies to those OVER 18 as well - where as youth allowance would be the goto for a <18yo.
