I also build a Potato Cannon that shot Potatoes into the stratosphere. That was epic. Used OxyAcetelyne gas as a fuel.

I made a mini potato gun, used deoderant as the fuel and got real technical and had a bbq spark lighter at the base that you just had to press to fire. I should never have thrown it out, it was epic. Mates at school had a big one with a similar system. It is impressive how far and powerful they can fire.

I told her it would be a challenge, to build a build table, that will seat 7, with no plans, and limited access to tools, before 2pm Saturday afternoon.

Apparently, "Challenge Accepted" was her answer.

I made a mini potato gun, used deoderant as the fuel and got real technical and had a bbq spark lighter at the base that you just had to press to fire. I should never have thrown it out, it was epic. Mates at school had a big one with a similar system. It is impressive how far and powerful they can fire.

Our one was made out of alloy. Had a camera flash hooked up to 2 screws that created a spark inside the chamber, with a remote trigger, and a mortar-styled firing platform. Had a metal garden hose, with a one way high pressure valve screwed into the 10" chamber which was hooked up to a bottle of acetelyne, which stepped down into a 3" barrell, about 1.5M long, which was ported and polished on a mates CNC machine.

Serious stuff.

Haha, damn thats almost military grade. Ours were made of PVC piping, usually lasted for a couple days of fun.
