Try cruising in a car that's worthy of cruising.

such as?

Sig worthy.

Just organise it Adam. Some people won't be able to make it, but that's just life - they'll make the next one.

When you start asking too many people about dates and locations and the like, you'll just make it so much harder for yourself.

Crew that are down for my cruise on Sunday are asking me yesterday to postpone it a week - but the two people that can make next week, might not make up for five other people that have moved things around to be able to make this week.

That's why the regular ones are great. I'm just too far from the city to keep up with a monthly meet up schedule.

I'd rather drive on my own if I'm wanting to have a giggle - not that I do in the OBK - you know what I mean.

This.

Go at my own pace. That I'm comfortable with.

Which is generally slow around corners and quick on the straights. Because I know my limits and value my life. :D

I love going through a cruise with the loud exhaust on through the hills.

But just a question for you guys, would you rather do that by yourself on an open hills road? Or with 50 RS's or WRX's around you?

fortunately the WaOzfoz guys organise the skidpan fairly regularly, so if I ever feel the need to have a good thrash I'll wait till one of those pops up. Or better still organise a midweek session on the skidpan and track. This doesnt happen much these days though.

Sig worthy.

Factory standard R/T drop top in plum crazy made for one hell of a cruiser. More looks than a naked supermodel rollin' down the street.

Yeah it started to get a bit complicated in the eoi thread, but Ben and I have worked out a bit of an idea now so will be sweet.

Almost thinking a BBQ for lunch. But then someone's gotta cook, and you gotta get money and all that shit. Would get way complicated!

Most cruises are circle jerk exercises.

I'm sure some are great.

Depends what you're into!

I wish Adelaide had a public racetrack or skidpan.

Sydney SC cruises are pretty good I reckon. Get some good blokes on them. No one goes too fast really, and it's just a good day.

I'm still pretty new to them, so I enjoy them.

Smaller numbers are better.

I went on an LS1 cruise with a customer of mine once. Over 400 cars turned up. Had a police escort and everything. It took over an hour to get everyone out of the first meet point. Was hardcore homo.

Sig worthy.

I remember going on a few of those midnight cruises. Massive ones that met at (Brett:Citywest) a big carpark near the CBD. Cops were usually there before I got there.

Those were DUMB. People literally street racing, and it's not exactly LIA either. That was a good seven or eight years ago now though.

My idea of a perfect cruise is about no more than five or six cars, decent* drivers, beautiful blacktop, great weather, a great stop for lunch and tankful of 98 octane.

I can't stand wankers who turn up to pose.
I can't stand P-platers who are trying to prove something other people have realised long ago is a dismal fail.
I can't stand egos. Bruised or otherwise.

Run what you bring. Know your place. Relax. Hug a corner. Have some fun.

*decent drivers = experienced in the art of cruises, considerate, courteous, can control confidently their vehicle, and have nothing to prove by taking silly and dangerous risks. Somebody who's free of expectations.

Unfortunately, there are some here that taint this mantra for others, and I am therefore more selective of my attendances here.
