Hey,

The moonroof in the outback doesn't lift like every other one does.
However the sunroof works fine.
Anyone know what i should be looking for in fixing it??

Cheers

From my experence with sunroofs, this may turn out to be a complicated and expensive fix.

At the least, I would think the headlining would need to come out.

Not much help, sorry.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Anything is help lol, Thanks.

I was assuming the motor to lift it had carked it, pulled the roof down a bit and peeked in but looked like it only had a rubber-like line running into it somewhere, just dont wanna pull the roof out and apart if theres something in particular i should be looking for.

From what I can tell looking at the Lib w/shop manual, assuming yours is the same, there is only one one motor that controls all the operations.

You may have faulty swtich contacts for the tilt circuit.

What are you calling the sun roof and what are you calling the moon roof??

Does the front work or back?

Once the front is open you have to re press the button to open the rear one, so if one works it can't be the switch.

Now that you have torn it to bits, what exactly are you looking for?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
