Adam has replaced his battery but the damn thing still won't start!

Any ideas?

Alarm, fuel pump, bad earth?

Fuel pump, primes.

Just facebookee ya ;)

Check that the starter is earthed right, as it may be trying to earth through the accelerator cable.

That aside, whack the starter while its cranking and see how it goes

It's stuck on a hoist?

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

I think he should grab a multi meter, set it to DC volts, place one lead on the battery post (the lead thing hanging out of the top) and the other lead on the main terminal bolt on the starter (the one that bolts the battery cable to the solenoid) and crank the engine (using the key in the ignition with the fluffy pink keyring) and read the voltage.

Pull the starter off, pull it apart, and give it a good clean, paying particular attention to cleaning the carbon/soot off of contacts and brushes.

If that fails, Viking funeral.

Heaps of life, til I try crank.

Then it doesn't seem to have enough power to turn over and relays start clicking

What alarm is installed? I had the exact same symptoms ages ago. Pulled out the alarm and suddenly it started fine.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Its a Rhino alarm.

Has been in it for .... 3+ years, pretty sure professionally installed.

Battery has been getting weaker for a while, and finally shit itself (im assuming) yesterday. The day before it only just turned over.

I think it's related to the terminal, its corroded and dirty, but it's all I had last night.

planning on buying a new terminal, if that doesnt work, inspect earth cablers, if that dosnt work, hitting starter motor, if that doesn't work, clean starter motor, if that doesnt work, get another starter motor, if that doesnt work, I guess I'll look at the alarm.

Seems odd for the alarm to screw up though, plenty of power on reds and everything else, fuel pump primes so loud compared to the old battery. Just when the car needs the full amps to turn over it whimps out!
