A question for the gurus.
I have a set of v6 sti heads which I want to match up to a built 2.5. I also have a set of v5 cams. Should I put the v5 cams (more aggressive apparently) in to the v6 heads for install or just go for some 264's?
Also cc the v6 heads to suit 2.5 or use thicker headgaskets?
Cheers in advance.

all i can say is, do it once - do it right. if you are going to be looking for more power in the future it's a no brainer to put a set of 264's in especially considering you have no AVCS.

Just depends on what you are willing to spend and what power you are chasing.A question for the gurus.

If you're even starting to think 264's+ then you must be considering at least 250ATW.
If this is the case then the standard ports and chambers could all do with some loving.
I'm running standard V3 STI heads and cams on a built 2.5 for 260 ATW with the thicker headgaskets. Standard V6 with V5 cams will get close to the same figures or a little better.
As Tony Montana would say:
In this country, you gotta make the money first.
Then when you get the money, you get the power.
Then when you get the power, then you get the women.
