hey trendsetters, just coming to you guys with an observation. now dont get me wrong, im not posting this up to start a war, or to stir up the whores amongst us, but im purely speaking out loud, and opening a discussion. but basically, where has the love gone from forums... im not directing this to this forum, or any liberty forum for that matter, but car forums in general. i know alot of you are members of more than one forum here, so im hoping that its you guys that back me up here, or at least understand me. basically i have noticed of late, that they are "generally" becoming a nannas meeting, where women meet up ( in the most un sexist way ) and ramble on about nothing. ive noticed whores are around like termites, burrowing thier way through threads and ruining the fun for those who ask genuine questions, or have legitimate reasons for posting, questioning or commenting. and hey i will be the first to admit, ive done my fair share of whoring... so dont think im discluding myself.... but i know when to stop, and when pushing someone is enough moderators are doing nothing cept taking sides, and showing favourtism towards friends/alliances and not giving the noobs or the "justified" a fair go. not to mention, keeping within thier "groups" and "buddies" and ive just noticed that alot of people are left with bitter tastes in thier mouths and having no intrest in meet ups, gatherings, or even participation in the forums full stop.. which is the real shame, cause at the end of the day, correct me if im wrong, but everyone participating in the forums has the common intrest for whatever they have subscribed to the forums in the first place. again im not coming on here posting this to start issues, im just after the feedback and non ***** replies to see if i am the only one that thinks this. and again im not directing this to anyone in particular, or any forum in particular, so please mods that are reading this, dont take offense. i just want the love to come back to the forums, and everyone to get along and be the apparent mature adults we are here, and treat forums as that.. for anyone to come in, noobs included, and not feel as tho they are out of place for asking what to others may seem a dumb question. At the end of the day, if anyone has a problem with this post, please PM me, if i have offended anyone, or anyone is suggesting i am implying them i apologise and i will emphasise that it is not my intention and it is not directed at anyone in particular. im going to post this in several forums, as i want to get the best coverage on this, and get some feedback on it, and am interested to see what people think... ok end of rant. peace out...

I think your pretty much right on there. Speaking only for myself, I don't have a huge amount of technical/mechanical knowledge, which is why I tend to contribute more to the off-topic than contributing to the technical pages. I view this page as more of a social site with good technical sections, where as other* forums are more technical and less social. I think the off-topic sections are there to basically be a chat or discussion section for non car related stuff. Whoring in technical sections should be modded. - Alex. *=OzL...

Kurt, brother, I feel your pain but you'll have to take a step back and realise that this isn't a perfect world. There will always be ****fights on any open forum. Thats just something yourself, myself, and every other user must accept. I appreciate the fact that your wanting to share the word of love and peace to these forums but in all honesty brother, its a lost cause. Me thinks we need to catch up for a few beverages sometime soon.

its good to see someone postingthis up. the forums i visit are quite friendly and tbh oz liberty is the only one thats got a bad level of what you've said. the forums great but its jst some people + recenlty its getting porno spam anyways... i'm not too sure on how else to comment on your where is the love topic but i have noticed one other thing where a person asks a question and gets a one sided reply even tho their would be a few options. sorry i can't actually remember where i've seen or the topic but it has happened. one other thing is that maybe people have got nothing new to do to their car and hence when they are bored what else to do but *****

I admit I ***** up the general thread but I only do that b/c I dont have alotta tech background. Sure I love cars, but I dont kno alot about how they run etc. So I stick 2 the general "chat" threads.
I never posted on Ozlib bc I was abit threatened as it was all tech talk and just didnt seem too inviting for me. But I've made alotta new friends on this one, everyones pretty laid back.
Ur gonna find bitchiness builds up everywhere as ppl juz have different opinions on things but if u deal wiv it, s'all good.

I have my own lil clique on here and I admit I cling 2 them, kinda run wiv the same herd all the time

i guess i could even use here as en example, having a rough back ground on why it all started and what the reasoning behind it was, clearly you guys seen the same thing i am. like i said in my first post, ill be the first to admit ive done my fiar share of whoreing, and given my fair share of flack to peoples comments, but i guess what helps is the fact that i know you guys, well most of you anyway, and i dont think anyone ever really comes on here with malicious intent to just piss people off nd start argument.. less ive missed them.. everyone has a dig at something someone does, but some reactions have shocked me.. and jovan i can see your point in saying that if someone has a problem with something you have said, to come straight to you, but should a conversation really get to that point.?? and that isnt a subtle hint to our recent conversations its still a comment aimed at the general side of things in all forums however in saying that, yes this is a public forum, i know you guys go through your processes in allowing people to post, and monitor what they do post, but maybe if we remember what the purpose behind something like this is, and im all for promoting it.. kel as for you, well even those that dont know you from a bar of soap, know your car knowledge is limited to the pointy end and the blunt end of a car... lol but thats why we all love you. hey i maybe biased here, but there are people like you around that just keep the spark in it, keep the humour going, and frankly show me someone who doesnt get a laugh out of kels posts, or someone that is offended by what she does post, and if by slim chance there is, i know she would happily take it off followed by sincere apologies. I know there are more people on this site that are in the same boat, hell i dont really know that much tech stuff, so as far as that goes im a noob, but im all keen for learning, upgrading the minimal brain capacity i have and be able to construct a sentence in a conversation bout cars that doesnt involve the word thingy or that pointy bit. specially considering the long list of issues that are ongoing with my car im always up for info and help. on the broader scope, i guess i just hate feeling as tho i have to be part of a group, or have reached a certain level of knowledge before my contributions and or comments are taken seriously and not brushed off as being another piss ant that asks the same dumb questions time and time again.. that make sence?

i dont think im thinking too much into it at all... i understand people have different perceptions on things, and different interpretations on things, and jovan im not dissin you for the way you choose to deal with people that dont like what you say. dont get me wrong.. i just really want to know, what has changed so much in the recent past, to change the forums from the great place it used to be, to somewhere where there is intimidation, bullying, and favouritism. strong words i know, but as a broad spectrum, thats whats going on..
