Hey everyone as the title states I want to know if a 98 2.5l engine will bolt direct into my 2.2l 96 liberty. Some people may say this is useless but my engine has a fair few kms on it now and I don't want to put a wrx or h6 in anymore would just like to replace the engine instead of buying a new car so would a 2.5 bolt straight up or will it have to be another 2.2l?

Cheers Joel

If you don't already have an engine. I will have one and a 5speed with 100k klms in roughly a month. Close to you as well. :)

Don't need one quite that soon but how much would you want for it just incase?

Cheers

the 2.5L uses a turbo crossmember so you will need to replace your current crossmember

2.2L ecu will not run the 2.5 very well either i think

could be done if you really wanted to, but you may need to run an RS liverty inlet maifold with an ej22 manifold loom so you have the correct TPS signal.
