after fitting a sti gearbox to my 09 wrx what do i need?

Depending on what you have
Gear box, diff, shifter mechanism (if 5spd to 6spd)
tail shaft
driver shafts rear
clutch / flywheel
fluids etc

need a bit more info here mate. what sti gearbox? was your car auto or manual? etc etc

There are 3 different 6 speed shifters..02-07STi, legacy and 08STi+
the 02-07Sti is common, the Legacy is longer and the shifter/roll pin is on an angle, and the 08STI is longer again.
Use a tailshaft from your model car, just automatic. And matching rear diff (commonly 3.9, unless 1.1:1 transfer gears)
Drivrshafts should be fine from 04+ onwards.
