If you're in NSW, Ichiban in Ingleburn is a great place to start. The owner is a forum user and really helpful.

+1 for Ichiban.

I got my V3 STi halfcut from there, with no issues and was very happy with the serive provided. Big ups to Ben and the team.

rx or gx? if its an RX id recomend a 97-98 halfcut as the wiring modification isnt as involved as some other conversions. we will be installing soon, just waiting on our workshop licence. we are currently building another outback as a demo / research car though, if your in sydney or surrounding area's your more than welcome to come down, have a look around and a chat. thanks, Ben.

to much of an open question mate , we have had sti halfcuts as cheap as $2750 and as expensive as $8990. depends what year your after. as for forester they are sterting at $1995 for a my98 model, up to $2995 for a 00-02 model , however the poor exchange rate may change prices on future halfcuts ,

I've got a version 3 wrx wiring loom spliced into a gen2 GT leggy loom that I'd let go for real cheap. Done by AM Auto's I just don't have a use for it.
