So I am in the market for a new Car/Conversion, need some ideas of what people think would be best.

Did a service on my car recently and went to Suabaru Dealer to get oil filter and stuff, Saw a GEN IV GT STi Tuned 2008 model. Does anyone have any info on these as they don't seem to be around this site much (that I can find) Like are good car from factory?

Don't know enough info about Subaru's to know whats good.

Stop drinking, get sober and make up your own mind.
Read reviews go for drives and thet should help you make a decision.
Asking here will just give you a headache.
My guess, if you drive the Gen4 STI you won't want anything else, but cash is king.
At the end of the day just be happy with your choice.

Go the Tuned By STi, if you don't know whats good.

if you can afford the tuned by sti, i would go that, mich nicer, smoother car to drive and if its in good condition you will have no problems with it

but if you like gen3's and are going to mod the crap out of your car go a b4 and shove an sti motor in it, just like the blue b4 that was for sale not long ago

Frank - i <3 you man.

I'd buy a Gen IV.

When I get a hip replacement, have my prostate operated on, to take to lawn bowls, or to bingo at the local RSL.

Buy what you can afford with a little left over for mods.

Saw a GEN IV GT STi Tuned 2008 model.

Aren't these the ones that go BANG?
My dentist had one and went through two engines (both undr warranty) so he traded it on a Lexus.
We have an engine out of one at work with a damaged big end due to oil gallery contamination from the factory.

Wise words Frank.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

If I was to keep my GEN III I would be throwing everything at it.

I like both shapes just not the new GEN V.

See this is the kind of info I am unable to find out about them. But I am looking at 06 and 07 ones also.

I think I have made the best decision, I am going to save the money I have for the 2008 Liberty and use it as a deposit for a house.

Thanks everyone for the insight as I know what car I will get later down the track.

If you're still after more info liberty.asn is mostly gen4 owners, with a lot of TBSTIs on there as well.

But B4s are still the best :walts:
