Nik recently asked about laptops. What was the result with that one? The plastic casing on mine is breaking all over the place.

Backing everything up tonight in case I lose the screen but methink it's time for a new lappy!

I love the hardware. They look super sexy and feel great. However I hate the OS.

Katie and I both bought lappys within about a month of each other in 2009. In the last week my screen hinges are dying in the ass and hers still looks basically brand new!

I know you can install Windows onto Macs but I'm not too keen on spending $1500 on a shell :P

even if it will outlast your next 2 laptops?

mine has been dropped so many times and it just has a few marks on it, and i also like the fact when i pick it up it has a bit of weight to it and wont bend at all, unlike 99% of the plastic ones on the market

Current lappy is a Dell. Has been reasonably reliable over the last 3 and a half years!

I remember AMS saying something about not getting Intel but rather, _____. Forget what it is though.

Need a few nerd tips to go shopping with :P

Buying all the parts myself but I won't have a spare weekend to do it all. Will probably pay to get it all fitted

Last i read the mac os isn't as easily effected by damaged sectors as windows... so the hdd could still be Posted Image'ed.
